I never thought of it...I really like this write-up. I never thought of it that way, but your view that Schultz' death serves as penance for his race is a brilliant interpretation. <br /><br />I also like several of your other points. How it illustrates that the society itself is the problem, rather than either color. And how Schultz goes from being academically disgusted to personally disgusted. You read a lot more into Schultz decision to shoot Candie than I did, but I think it's spot on.<br /><br />Yeah, a lot of good stuff here.
